Meet Matt Kingsley Shaw: Championing Australia's First Shochu

If you've been following us for a while, you'll know our Koji Spirits range is something pretty special - because it's the first ever Australian-made shochu.
Shochu is a new drink for Australia, but it's one we’ve been dreaming into reality for years.
So to help bring it to life and share the love for shochu, we knew we needed someone who really got it. Someone who could talk koji, taste nuance, and had seen shochu in its natural habitat.
Enter: Matt Kingsley Shaw - our new R&Co Brand Ambassador but long-time R&Co friend. You might remember Matt as our Bish Bash Bosh cocktail collaborator or know him as the founder of Melbourne Sake. You might even have met him at Movida, Bar Liberty, or know him from his wine import biz Tasty Things.

Matt has tasted his way around Japan, studied shochu inside and out, and he's as passionate about education as he is about flavour. We think he's the perfect person to help give Shochu the love it deserves.
