Reed & Co Distillery was founded in 2016 by chefs and distillers Hamish Nugent and Rachel Reed. They began their journey with the installation of their first copper still, named Molly, at their hatted restaurant, Tani. Their initial experiments with local botanicals led to the creation of one of Australia's first native bush gins, Remedy Small Batch. Since then, they have continued to refine their craft and produce unique spirits right here in Bright.

Koji Spirits are crafted using traditional Japanese techniques. We produce our own Koji using high-quality Australian grains, which undergo a controlled fermentation process. This results in a unique and flavorful spirit that reflects our commitment to quality and balanced flavors.

Koji Bird Restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12pm to 10pm. Dinner is served from 5pm each day. We recommend making a reservation to ensure a table, however, we can seat walk-ins, depending on space.

The Spirit Lab is open for tastings from from Monday & Tuesday from 2pm-6pm, and Wednesday-Saturday from 12pm til late. Visitors are welcome to tour the facility and learn about our distillation process and enjoy a guided spirit tasting. These can be booked here.

You can make an instant online booking for Koji Bird or Spirit Lab right here. Bookings open about two months in advance. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

Yes, families with children are welcome to dine with us during our early dinner seating between 5.15pm and 6pm. Please note, we don’t offer a dedicated kids’ menu, and we ask that you mention any children in your booking notes so we can ensure we have the correct number of seats for your group.

No, we do not allow BYO at Koji Bird Restaurant as we are fully licensed.. We offer a wide selection of our own spirits and other beverages including local wine and beer for you to enjoy.

Yes, we offer free shipping on all orders over $160 within Australia. For orders under $160, a flat shipping rate of $12 applies.

Our Gin Range includes Remedy Australian Dry Gin, which is one of Australia's first native bush gins, and several other unique gins crafted with local botanicals including NEO New World Gin (voted Australia's Best New World Gin in 2023), Saint Juni Juniper Dry Gin and Saint Juni Distiller's Strength Dry Gin. Each gin is carefully distilled to ensure a balanced and high-quality flavour profile.
