Who says a distillery visit is just for the grown-ups? Sure, we make Gin, Shochu and other spirits (all decidedly 18+), but we also know the reality of school holidays — and parents deserve a little reward, too!
At Koji Bird Restaurant by Reed & Co. Distillery, we’ve carved out kid-friendly booking times, so while you sip and swirl, they can read, snack, or just revel in the novelty of being out with the adults.
So if you’re planning a trip to Bright these school holidays, you’re in for a treat. Nestled in Victoria’s High Country, Bright is a family-friendly destination where nature, food, and adventure come together. From riverside picnics to vibrant local restaurants, there’s plenty to keep kids entertained — and parents relaxed.
And because we're a distillery - we’ve made sure your holiday can include something special for the grown-ups, too! Our Spirit Tastings showcase our small-batch gin and Koji Spirits Shochu. And yes — we offer kid-friendly booking times, so the whole family can enjoy a relaxed night out without any stress.

School holiday events and activities in Bright
As always, Bright will be buzzing with activities these school holidays:
Riverside fun: Take the kids to the splash park by the Ovens River and, if they're brave, consider a float down in inflatable tubes (warning: it could be cold!).
Mystic Park MTB rides: With beginner-friendly trails, a pump track and school holiday programs for kids, Bright is great for families with bikes.
Markets & Festivals – Explore our local produce, crafts, and live music at Bright’s seasonal markets. The Make It Bake It Grow It Market is on in Howitt Park this Sat, Sept 20.
Bright Playground: Always a hit with little ones, right in the town centre. Then head to the iconic Bright Ice Creamery when you're done!
And when it comes to eating out, you’ll find plenty of Bright restaurants with kids’ menus, space to relax, and good vibes.

Why visit Reed & Co Distillery?
A distillery might not be the first kid-friendly place that comes to mind but no visit to Bright is complete without a cocktail made with Bright's own local spirits, or a meal at Koji Bird by Reed & Co Distillery.
Families are very welcome to dine with us during our early dinner seating between 5.15pm and 6pm. Just let us know how many little ones are coming in your booking, so we can make sure everyone has a seat. And while we don't offer a dedicated kids’ menu, many of our dishes can be enjoyed by the whole family. You can check out our full menu here in advance.
